Take Me Back Tuesday | It's Been FIVE Years!

I feel like I might tear up a little bit writing this blog post. No shame. You see this week, it's officially been five. FIVE! Cinco. That's right, five years since I took one of the biggest leaps in my life and left the security of working for someone else and stepped in to the crazy world of self-employment. It has officially been five years since I went full-time with Mary Fields Photography.

Oh, what a wild ride these last five years have been. So many ups and so many downs. Thankfully, I feel like when I look back on those five years, it's the ups that stick out far more than the downs. I've learned so much about myself and been challenged to have confidence in who God created me to be. I've pushed myself to step outside my comfort zone and also found myself outside my comfort zone without even intending to be there. I've seen my weaknesses up close and personal and yet learned how to embrace those too. Mary Fields Photography has taken me to incredible places and allowed me to see beautiful things. I've had the privilege of capturing nearly 100 weddings and more portraits than I could ever count. Most importantly though, it has allowed me to tell SO many stories and for that, I am so very thankful. What makes my job so special is that I get to watch so many beautiful relationships, families and moments unfold.

For the last five years I have captured so much in front of my lens but the beauty of it all is that everything that has happened in front of my lens has forever changed ME...the one behind it.

To all of my MFP clients over the last 5 years, here is a big THANK YOU for letting me tell your story through my lens!

So, in the name of big THANK YOUS, giant leaps of faith and five years of adventure,

I Say, Take Me Back!

(The people in the collage below certainly don't fully number the clients I've had these past few years but it is a good representation of them! I am consistently blessed with the most wonderful clientele!)
